| Signed for 12 years, $33,550,000 as part of a 7 year extension during the 2006 season. The deal included a 4.5M signing bonus prorated over 6 years and a 4.5M roster bonus in 2007 that was converted to a signing bonus and prorated over 6 years. There are workout bonuses of 75K in 2008 and 2009, 175K in 2010, and 100K each year from 2011-2016. There are LTBE incentives of 1,040,000 in 2011, 1,102,000 in 2012, 1,064,000 in 2013, 1,076,000 in 2014, and 588,000 in 2015. There are escalators of up to 1M in 2009, 2013, and 2014; 1.25M in 2015, and 1.5M in 2016.As part of his rookie deal, he received a 2.7M signing bonus in 2005 that was prorated over 5 years and a 1.125M option bonus that was exercised in 2006 and prorated over 4 years. |
